This weekend, several friends from the Sancho Bikes club swapped Mallorca’s roads for Menorca to take part in the 25th Volta Cicloturista Internacional a Menorca, held from 23 to 25 October 2026. Once again, we would not miss it. 🚴‍♂️💙

It was three days to enjoy cycling, discover the island and, above all, share the road with riders from many different places.

Three days of cycling and great company

The Volta celebrated a very special edition: 25 years of history. Starting in Maó, its routes once again combined Menorca’s roads, dry-stone walls, villages, climbs and many hours in the saddle.

The colours of Sancho Bikes Mallorca were also present in the peloton. For us, this event represents what we love most about cycling: riding with friends, discovering new places and simply enjoying the bike. 🤝

A record number of women 👏

The 2026 edition produced a particularly positive figure: 76 women took part, a new record for the Volta. On the final day, 330 cycle tourists from six nationalities started the ride.

It is a great sign of cycling’s growth and of how more people of every level are sharing these experiences.

Monte Toro provided the sporting challenge ⛰️

One of the most eagerly awaited moments was once again the climb to Monte Toro. Ciutadella rider Aarón Genestar was the fastest, recording exactly 10 minutes. Mavi García was the first woman to reach the summit, in 10 minutes and 35 seconds.

Beyond the times, the true spirit of the Volta remains enjoying Menorca together on two wheels.

From Mallorca to Menorca… and back home

The photos sum up the weekend: bikes, friends, a few stops, plenty of laughs and quite a few kilometres in the legs. 😜

Now it is time to return to Mallorca, recover a little… and start thinking about the next ride. From Sancho Bikes Cala Millor and Cala Bona, congratulations to our friends on another great cycling weekend.

See you on the road. 🚴‍♂️🔥
